We have developed a user friendly application for collecting plant tissue for DNA extraction. The workflow takes advantage of barcoded plant stakes and a visual plate map to reduce errors while collecting tissue. The DNAPlateApp is written in Java and can be used on any operating systen with a Java Runtime Enviroment (Java Virtual Machine) including Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. DNAPlateApp is distributed as a runable Java archive (.jar). This file can be saved in any directory and launched by double clicking on the executable file.
